PATSCHULL FAMILY PORTRAIT

I met up with this super cool family at a local park for a shoot this weekend. The mom is actually the aunt for Ethan & Luke! We hung out at the park for about an hour, weather was cooperating and it wasn't very crowded. Two things you need for a fun family shoot. I look forward to future portrait sessions with this cute family!

MADDY & COREY HALLOWEEN/FAMILY SHOOT

I had the pleasure of taking these pictures for a great family friend of ours. We shot the photos in the backyard..laid down a big blanket, and off we go! Maddy was an UCLA cheerleader and Corey was an adorable alligator!

I had a great time hanging out with this lovely family, see you again in December for the family portrait!

ALLY'S TURNING FOUR!

It's sadness and joy all at the same time. My little girl will be turning four! This last four years have flown by so quickly and I am still wondering where the time went. People always told me that hold on to each precious moment because you don't know how fast kids grow up. Now I do.

We decided to go to Oak Glen area for a portrait session. We even brought along a 'male model' to pose with Ally. Enjoy the pictures.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLY, WE LOVE YOU VERY VERY MUCH AND WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!

FAMILY TRIP!

We took a long deserved family trip up the coast to Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, and also a visit to the in-law's place. We attended the 23rd annual "California Avocado Festival" in Carpinteria and had a really great time. The place was packed with people, which made strollers a bit of a pain. But the escape from LA heat was a welcomed change of pace. We also met a gorgeous little girl named Tatiana who is about the same age as my older daughter. You should have seen the three girls chasing each other around pretending to be little fairies...classic! Overall it was a great weekend and we look forward to another family trip soon.

SIGMA 30mm F1.4 EX DC

After doing much research about a new fast prime lens, I decided on the Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC lens. I went back and forth between this lens, or Canon 35mm F2. But after reading MANY, and I do mean MANY review online, it seems that Sigma will be a great fit for what I do.

On the other hand, it's time to retire my Canon 50mm F1.8 with collapsible rubber lens hood. Who's intersted?
